"know the drill" means to know how to do something
 تعرف ما يجب فعله، لا تحتاج من يخبرك بذلك، تعرف الإجراأت
المتبعة للقيام بشيئ ما
  • I told my friend I know the drill, but he keeps giving me instructions.

"hit the books" means to study hard
 يذاكر أو يدرس بجد
  • I have to hit the books this weekend because I have 3 tests on Monday.

"bite off more than you can chew" means to take on too much responsibility and become overwhelmed
تحمل نفسك ما لا طاقة لك به
  • He bit off more than he can chew working 40 hours a week and going to school 5 nights a week.

"leave no stone unturned" means to do everything possible to achieve something
 لم يترك شيئ إلا و قام به، يقوم بكل ما بوسعه القيام به
  • He will leave no stone unturned until he gets a visa.

"wear my heart on my sleeve" means to openly  display your feelings
 يفصح أو تفصح عن مشاعره/ها بسهولة، لا يكتم أو تكتم عواطفها أو مشاعره/ها
  • She is the type of person that wears her heart on her sleeve, so , when she began having feelings for her best friend, she confessed to him how much she liked him.
