 تفقد السيطرة على شيئ ما، يخرج عن السيطرة

 لا تشعر بحالة جيدة بسبب المرض، الإرهاق، التعب إلخ ، لا أشعر أنني بخير

"a stone's throw" means for something or someone to be nearby

 على بعد خطوتين، قريب جدا

• The bakery is a stone's throw from my house.

"missed the boat" means for someone to miss their opportunity to do something

• It's sad he missed the boat with her because now she is with another guy.
