"make out 1" means to get a good deal   يستفيد، يحصل على صفقة رابحة

• I will make out trading my old laptop for a new tablet.

"make out 2" means to have difficulty understanding what someone said or wrote
يفهم أو يقرأ ما قاله أو كتبه شخص ما بصعوبة

• He was talking so fast, I could not make out what he was saying.

"make out 3" means to write a check   يحرر  شيكا

• She told me to make out the check to her business.

"make up 1" means to do something that you didn't do on a previous day   يعوض

• I missed the history exam because I was sick, so I had to make it up when I got better.

"make up 2" means to lie   يختلق، كذبة أو قصة غير صحيحة

• She made up the whole story about having her purse stolen so her mom wouldn't find out that she lost the money.

"make up 3" means to become friends again after an argument   يتصالح مع

• We made up after not speaking to each other for 1 month.

"make up 4" means to show your gratitude to somebody that has helped you by doing something nice for them     يعبر عن أسفه أو عن شكره لشخص ما ، كأن يقدم هذية

• After I stayed up late many nights tutoring him in Spanish, he made it up to me by fixing my car.
