To spend time somewhere.
يَتسَكَّع / يَتَرَدَّد عَلى مَكان
He likes to hang around the library in the afternoons to read.

To continue to survive or not give up.
يَتَمَسَّك بِالحَياة / يُصَرُّ على العَطاء
Every time I have a doubt, I keep telling myself to hang in there, because the situation will improve.

To wait.
يَنتَظِر / يُرجَى الانتِظار
