Go missing

اخْتَفَى.

To disappear or become lost, often without explanation or trace.

After the hike, they realized one of their backpacks had gone missing and couldn't be found anywhere. A Texas man who went missing as a teen 8 years ago was just found alive sleeping outside a church.
