"bring home the bacon" means for someone to earn money

"get a grip on yourself" means for someone to not get overly emotional about something
حينما شخص يظهر شعور ما كالغضب أو أي شعور : فتقول له - تحكم بنفسك - تمالك روحك
- He was enraged that someone scratched his new car when he was in the store shopping and I told him to get a grip on himself because it's just a car and the damage can be repaired.
"put our heads together" means for 2 or more people to share their ideas with each other in order to find a solution for something

"bide your time" means for someone to wait patiently for a good opportunity to do something
