Ask about
To inquire about something or someone.
يَسْأَل عَن / يَسْتَفْسِر عَن
I think my friend likes you because she was asking about you.
Ask around
To acquire information by asking several people.
يَسْأَل الكَثِيرِينَ / يَسْتَطْلِع
I will ask around to see if anyone has a ladder they can lend me.
Ask out
To invite someone on a date.
يَدْعُو لِمَوْعِد / يَطْلُب الخُرُوج مَع
She is so excited because the guy she likes asked her out.
Ask for
To request something or someone.
يَطْلُب
When I go to a restaurant I always ask for extra napkins because I am messy.
Ask in
To invite someone to enter.
يَدْعُو لِلدُخُول
I went to my neighbor's to borrow a ladder and she asked me in for some lemonade.
