"keep up 1" means to maintain the same pace as someone else  يجاري
  • She runs so fast, it's difficult to keep up with her.

"keep up 2" means to maintain the same status as someone else  يحافظ على نفس المستوى
  • He felt the pressure to keep up with his neighbor who bought a new sports car, so he bought one too.

"keep up 3" means to take good care of something   يحافظ على، يرعى
  • She really keeps up the flower garden nicely.

"keep down" means to maintain something at a low level   يبقي شيئ ما منخفض الأسعار، الصوت
  • To remain competitive, we must keep our prices down.
  • Please keep down the music, I'm trying to sleep.

"keep away from" means to stay away from an area that could be dangerous يتجنب، يبتعد عن
  • I told the children to keep away from the street so they won't get hit by a car.

"keep off 1" means to not approach something  إبتعد عن،لا تقرب
  • I just manicured my lawn so I put a "keep off the grass" sign in my yard.

"keep off 2" means to not eat or drink something that can harm you.    إبتعد عن، تجنب أكل هاته الأطعمة أو الأشربة
  • My doctor told me to keep off caffeine.

"keep on" means to continue doing something.  يواصل، يستمر
  • He kept on training right up until the race.
