Keep up
1. To maintain the same pace as someone else.
يُجَارِي
She runs so fast, it's difficult to keep up with her.
2. To maintain the same status as someone else.
يُحَافِظ على المُسْتَوَى / يُنَافِس
He felt the pressure to keep up with his neighbor who bought a new sports car, so he bought one too.
3. To take good care of something.
يُحَافِظ على / يَعتَنِي بِ
She really keeps up the flower garden nicely.
Keep down
To maintain something at a low level.
يُبْقِي مُنْخَفِضًا
To remain competitive, we must keep our prices down.
Please keep down the music, I'm trying to sleep.
Keep away from
To stay away from an area that could be dangerous.
يَبْتَعِد عَن / يَتَجَنَّب
I told the children to keep away from the street so they won't get hit by a car.
Keep off
1. To not approach something.
يَبْتَعِد عَن / لا يَقْتَرِب مِن
I just manicured my lawn so I put a "keep off the grass" sign in my yard.
2. To not eat or drink something that can harm you.
يَتَجَنَّب / يَمْتَنِع عَن
My doctor told me to keep off caffeine.
Keep on
To continue doing something.
يَسْتَمِرّ / يُوَاصِل
He kept on training right up until the race.
